Immigration to Australia

About Australia

Australia has always been a major destination for immigrants around the world. With an area of 7,692,024 square kilometers, Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. Australia is approximately 4.5 times larger than Iran, yet its population is 24 million and 777 thousand people with a relative density of 2.6 people per square kilometer, which is one of the lowest density figures in the world. It should be noted that a quarter of the country’s population is made up of immigrants.

Australia is made up of six states and two territories (Territories), which have less authority than the states. The states and territories of Australia are:

The state of New South Wales (NSW), whose capital is Sydney, Australia’s oldest and largest city.

The state of Queensland (QLD), whose capital is Brisbane.
The state of South Australia (SA), whose capital is Adelaide.
The state of Tasmania (TAS), which is an island in the southeast of the mainland and whose capital is Hobart.
The state of Victoria (VIC), whose capital is Melbourne.
The state of Western Australia (WA), whose capital is Perth.
The Northern Territory (NT), whose capital is Darwin.
The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) includes the city of Canberra and its surroundings.

Australia is a vast country that occupies most of the area of the Pacific continent.

This country is located in the Southern Hemisphere and claims ownership of 40% of Antarctica, and on this basis, it has established and activated large research institutes in that region.

Due to its natural and geographical conditions, it has a unique nature, and due to the presence of vast deserts in its center, the majority of Australia’s population lives on its coasts and shores.

This newly independent country is multicultural and therefore one of the most welcoming societies. The heterogeneous population composition and the existence of different nations are also reasons for this.

Australia is made up of six states and two territories (Territories), which have less authority than the states.

Types of Visas

The Australian government’s policy is that a foreign national must obtain a visa to enter, travel and reside in Australia. With an Australian visa, you can enjoy many benefits such as the right to work, study, health insurance, etc., depending on the type of visa you receive.

Since 1994, Australia has maintained a general visa system, meaning that every non-citizen in Australia must have a visa and does not issue a visa upon arrival. Australia offers various types of visas that you can apply for according to your individual circumstances and goals.

All Australian visas have been electronic since 2015, with details stored only in the Australian Immigration database. Visa details are electronically linked to passport details and no longer require physical stickers or stamps. Almost all Australian visas must be applied for online. Assessment organizations

The role of assessment organizations in your immigration process

To apply for any Australian visa, a legal process begins under the Australian Immigration Act. This process has different stages and if you can provide the documents required at each stage, the visa will be granted to you. One of the first stages of this process is the verification of your job documents by the Australian assessment agencies. There are different agencies to verify the documents of applicants with different job titles. When your documents and work experiences are verified by the assessment organization related to your specialty, you will receive a validation letter.

Which organization will assess your documents

Will it be assessed?

In total, there are nearly 40 assessment agencies and organizations in Australia that are responsible for assessing people who intend to immigrate through a job title on the list of occupations in Australia. Each job title has an assessment agency through which you must assess your job and educational requirements and you must comply with the requirements of that assessment agency. For example, the VETASSESS organization will deduct at least 1 year from the work experience of individuals and give them an assessment, or the ACS organization will deduct between 2 and 8 years from the work experience of individuals and give an assessment, depending on the conditions of the individuals. These deducted work experiences will not be claimed for points. The lawyer’s knowledge and experience and his/her up-to-dateness in this area are very helpful due to changing conditions. For the Immigration Department, the assessment is valid for 3 years. Of course, there are exceptions. For example, the assessment and assessment from the ACS organization is valid for two years.
